Organization and Management
Project management refers to the process of planning, organising, directing and controlling the integrated effort to efficiently achieve the technical objectives within the MOBIO constraints of time schedule and budget.
The Management Team
MOBIO is coordinated by Dr. Sébastien Marcel from IDIAP. The Project Coordinator has the overall responsibility for the direction of the project. MOBIO Program Manager is Valérie Devanthéry and is responsible for:
- Financial Reporting,
- Handling distribution of payments,
- Coordination of reports
- Support work for Project Board.
The Project Board
The membership of the project board is:
- S. Marcel (IDIAP),
- V. Devanthéry (IDIAP),
- T. Cootes (UMAN),
- J. Kittler (UNIS),
- J-F. Bonastre (UAPV),
- H. Cernocky (BUT),
- M. Pietikainen (UOULU),
- S. Rey (IDEA),
- G. Zoia (EPM).
The role of the project board is to act as the top-level decision making body. The project board will meet at least once a year. The project board is responsible for establishing clear procedures for taking decisions and resolving conflicts effectively and quickly. Conflict resolution will be done by voting. Voting will be by a simple majority of the members.
The Work-package Manager
Each work-package will be led by a work-package manager. Each WP manager will be responsible:
- for submitting a WP progress report to the coordinator at regular intervals,
- for the fulfilment of the research plans, including deliverables and milestones,
- for calling WP or task specific meetings whenever appropriate.
Financial Management
The financial management will follow the procedures and guidelines of the
European Commission.
