Call for Use Case Scenarios 2010

This call is closed now.

MOBIO would like to consider new use case scenarios. To achieve that goal, we are calling for a partnership and for use cases directly from companies and vendors in mobile identity management services or infrastructures.

Mobile Biometry (MOBIO)

MOBIO is an ongoing FP7 European research project. Its objective is to develop new mobile services secured by biometric authentication means and more particularly using the face and the voice, individually or jointly.

MOBIO partners have developed a set of core technologies for mobile face and speaker authentication and are currently experimenting these technologies in the Maemo environment and more particularly on the recent Nokia N900 mobile device.

RISEPTIS

Recently, the RISEPTIS Advisory Board, for Research and Innovation for SEcurity, Privacy and Trustworthyness in the Information Society, released recommendations on policy and research challenges in the field of security and trust in the Information Society.

RISEPTIS looked at technological means of supporting users’ needs and more particularly nomadic, mobile users. A strong recommendation is to give high priority to the development of a common framework for identity and authentication management that allows trusted and secured activities ranging from public administration, banking, health or online social networking.

MOBIO Call for Use Case Scenarios 2010

In 2008, MOBIO identified already a set of use case scenarios in the above activities pointed out by RISEPTIS such as secured banking transactions, M-payment, kindergarten services or trusted peer-to-peer video chat.

To the light of RISEPTIS recommendations, MOBIO would like to consider new use case scenarios. To achieve that goal, we are calling for a partnership and for use cases directly from companies and vendors in mobile identity management services or infrastructures.

Team-mobile.jpg

MOBIO will choose the most promising use case scenario(s) and will implement demonstration prototype(s) on the Nokia N900 with no cost for the selected partners. Prototype(s) will be presented at the upcoming Biometrics 2010 Exhibition and Conference, in London on October 19-21 2010, where all the partners that sent their use cases will be duly acknowledged and the selected partners will be invited.

To summarize

  1. Companies can provide their use case scenarios
  2. MOBIO will develop demonstration prototypes
  3. Use case scenarios and prototypes will to be presented at Biometrics 2010
