Graph visualization of glyphs

We developed a tool that provides visualization of hieroglyphs to assist common tasks of epigraphers including browsing and exploration.

The tool provides a view of individual glyphs organized in a 2-D graph where glyphs are nodes and their links correspond to (1) their degree of visual similarity or (2) their co-occurrence in a given glyph-block.

The tool provides information about each individual glyph and also points to external links with complementary information from other academic sources, including G. Vail's Codices project (http://www.mayacodices.org/) and J. Montgomery's Dictionary of Maya Hieroglyphs at FAMSI (http://research.famsi.org/montgomery_dictionary/).
