Objectives

The specific objectives of the project can be summarized as follows:

• Automatic detection and analysis of visual non-verbal communication cues,
• Multimodal integration of visual and aural non-verbal cues for small group interaction analysis.

We concentrate on a selected number of key research tasks in social interaction analysis. These include the automatic estimation of dominance in a group conversation, estimation of emergent leadership, and the analysis of personality based on automatically extracted nonverbal features.
