Idiap PhD Student Research Award

Idiap is proud to award the PhD student research prize 2015 to Ivana Chingovska for the novelty of her research contributions to biometrics anti-spoofing applied to face recognition, for the number and quality of her publications, especially in 2015, and for her participation to the Idiap and EDEE communities.

 

Idiap PhD Student Paper Award

Idiap is proud to award the PhD paper prize 2015 to Nikolaos Pappas for demonstrating that one-class explicit ratings or “likes” can be augmented through sentiment analysis of user comments to improve recommendation in large multimedia datasets, and for
publishing the results in one of the highest-ranked journals in artificial intelligence.
