Selecting Swiss companies that have best involved AI in their devices and processes
Lonneke van der Plas, head of the Computation, Cognition & Language group, was a member of the jury charged by AiCon to evaluate the involvement of 32 Swiss companies in Artificial Intelligence.
According to a report published in June 2022 by Aicon, the leading conference dedicated to artificial intelligence in Switzerland, the topic of artificial intelligence is not yet a priority for Swiss companies. On a scale of importance from 1 to 5, 56% of them place artificial intelligence as not a priority.
In the same report, 32 use cases of Swiss companies were evaluated for their involvement in AI by the expert jury in which Prof. Van der Plas took part. The Top 3 companies were selected according to the following criteria: applicability, grade of innovation, added value, and transferability.
