H2020 MEMMO project selected among the 12 best EU projects

The H2020 MEMMO European project, coordinated by LAAS in France, in which Idiap participated as a project partner, has been selected among the 12 best EU projects of the year by the French Research Minister. The award is entitled the 12 stars of Europe 2022 (Les 12 Étoiles de l'Europe). It was selected among 70 selected candidates across all domains.

Created in 2013 by the Ministry in charge of Higher Education and Research, the Stars of Europe trophies value teams of researchers for their European commitment and their project coordination work.

As such, they reward: teams of researchers coordinated by a project leader registered in the name of a French structure, who have won a European call for projects and carried out this project until its end. The winners are selected by a high-level jury according to the following criteria the quality of the scientific production, the creation of value (direct economic and technological spin-offs in the form of new products, services and technologies, and indirect spin-offs), the societal dimension of the project but also, the multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity of the project, or the number of women involved in the project, its contribution to the training of young people, and to job creation, the opening to the international, the leadership role held by the French teams in the project.
