Marco Fornoni, new Idiap PhD student research assistant

Marco Fornoni comes from Comazzo, a countryside town near Milan (Italy).

In 2009 he has already been at Idiap for an internship focused on multi-view learning techniques, applied to computer vision problems; this work has constituted the core of his computer science master thesis, with which he graduated in October 2009 from University of Milan.

Now he is back to Idiap for his doctoral studies under the supervision of Dr. Barbara Caputo and his focusing on robust visual place categorization of indoor scenes, using a mobile platform (i.e. a robot).
