Jie Luo successfully defended his PhD thesis.

On December 14, 2011, Jie Luo successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Open-ended Learning of Visual and Multi-modal Patterns".

In his PhD thesis, Jie has investigated different approaches for integrating optimally multiple types of feature to achieve robust classification performance, as well as reducing labeling effort by exploit the relations between these features.
