Best paper nomination for K. Farrahi and D. Gatica-Perez at IEEE ISWC 2012
The paper "Extracting Mobile Behavioral Patterns with the Distant N-Gram Topic Model" by Kate Farrahi (former PhD student at Idiap's Social Computing Group, now postdoctoral researcher at the University of Linz, Austria) and Daniel Gatica-Perez was nominated for the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Int. Symposium on Wearable Computers (IWSC) held in Newcastle, June 18-22, 2012. The research was partly supported by the SNSF HAI project and by the LS-CONTEXT collaborative project between Idiap and Nokia Research Lausanne.
