New research groups at Idiap
The Idiap Research Institute is proud to announce that 2 new researchers have recently joined the research team. Sylvain Calinon and Michael Liebling will reinforce, complement and develop the Institute’s expertise and competencies in human-robot interaction and computational bioimaging.
Dr Sylvain Calinon will lead the newly created “Robot Learning & Interaction” group. He arrived at Idiap in May 2014 after having been team leader at the Department of Advanced Robotics at the Italian Institute of Technology for 5 years.
Dr Michael Liebling joined Idiap’s research team in July 2014, founding the “Computational Bioimaging” group of which he is head. Before returning to Switzerland, he served as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
